Barbour

The key trend for AW07 is mix and match classic and contemporary inspired by heritage and shape.  Signature wax cotton and quilting make a triumphant return to centre stage for Barbour this season and the collection reflects fitted, detailed styles for women and new rugged tailoring for men.

Close attention has been paid to fit.  New styles follow both Barbour’s classic model with broad tolerances and these are joined by a new slim fit block adopted in many contemporary styles for a sleeker silhouette.

AW07 colours take their inspiration from an earth palette, milky browns through to strong bitter chocolate shades and soft olives and greys through to metallic anthracite.

New wax jackets include the Ladies Peplum and Double Breasted Utility jackets creating a neat sporting look for autumn.  Barbour has taken its iconic heritage International jacket and created a Ladies International jacket that is
belted, stylish and biker chic.

Rugged tailoring sets the agenda for men with blazer styles using trademark wax and quilting in fitted shapes.   The new Wax Blazer and Quilt Lined Blazer together with the Duracotton Blazer and Quilted Microfibre Blazer reflect this new direction for Barbour.

A four pocket Mens Utility jacket and Trooper jacket demon-strate how exceptionally well wax works in a military cut.

Barbour’s proven cotton fabrics are used extensively in the Waterproof Breathables category for men with the extension of the popular Weather-Worked fabric into a Utility jacket and the casually understated Flyer, a short jacket with knitted rib hem and cuffs.

For ladies, the Weather-Worked Short Newmarket is classically stylish while the Monaco Utility in a luxurious fabric offers a contemporary feel to the collection.

The established and popular Liddesdale jacket sees fresh variations for men with the introduction of a ribbed cuff Country Liddesdale and for the first time, a Ladies’ Liddesdale.

Following on from a successful summer style, washed fabrics are introduced in a winter weight, including the ladies Washed Babycord Hope Revere and Washed Babycord Grace jackets and in the men’s the Washed Cord Beaufort and Washed
Cord 4 Pocket Safari.  Moleskin also makes an appearance in the men’s International and Beaufort and ladies’ Grace style.

Twelve high quality pieces in leather, all new for this season, offer a sought after choice in a selection of Barbour’s favourite styles including the Liddesdale, Cowen and Bushman with a new Leather Blazer for men and Suede Quilt and Utility for women.

The success of Barbour’s shirt offer continues with plenty of choice and new designs.  This season also sees the launch of a new Slim Fit style in key designs.

For autumn winter 07, Barbour offers a full range of knitwear with classic crew, and v necks in a rich and warm lambswool and a wide choice of colours.   Authentic Argyle styles and chunky Donegal and Country Tweed yarns compliment the range and soft lambswool stripes bring in bright colours.  For women, soft fluffy Lamora yarns are knitted into fashionable Cowl, Cable and Long Cardigan designs.

Accessories continue to go from strength to strength with a range of luxurious Merino Cashmere scarves.  Hats compliment the new range of wax jackets.  A small Utility
bag style is introduced in Tartan, Leather and Quilting and quilted Nylon Totes, Shoulder Totes and Newmarket bags come in a range of colours.

Childrenswear continues to grow with a range of Barbour favourites being added to the collection in little sizes.  Particularly popular are the Children’s Cowen, Utility and Shaped Microfibre.
