Intoxica
AW08 sees the launch of a new Dutch premium menswear brand Intoxica, designed by Kentroy Yearwood.
The brand presents a full collection, which is primarily constructed around denim and is entirely organic.
Intoxica strives for 2 clear aims; to provide a totally clean and ethically sound product and to focus on innovative design to satisfy pioneering souls.
This collection is 100% organic and manufactures with hand crafted ancient Japanese weaving and weft techniques to the use of purely organic dyes. All pieces are naturally baked in the sun.
The collection is almost exclusively made of selvage Japanese denim. Other fabrics featured in the collection are very precious and long lasting such as; silver, silk linens, mohair, Nepalese cashmere, mohair and beeswax. Thus, classic resources are mixed with original methods.
A key piece in the range includes the indigo selvage Crane jacket which features genuine silver collar meshing details. This is taken from Kentroy’s idea that every piece should have a hidden agenda (with this piece, the wearer could melt down the precious metal and sell it if he fell on hard times). Other standout pieces are the Conner check jacket (made entirely of denim) and the Caine mohair jacket.
The colour palette goes from electric blues through to all shades of grey as well as checks.
The collection is aimed at trend setters and fashion conscious individuals who are eco-friendly minded with high incomes.
Intoxica is currently distributed at 59 Broadwick St and is aimed at high end stores and department stores such as Dover St Market and Harvey Nichols.
